MoonTing Li
At the beginning of 2025, I launched Fem Renaissance, my feminist journalism podcast exploring women’s lives and identities—their courage to challenge systems and norms, their autonomy to resist social pressure and cultural expectations, and their drive to aspire toward change and leadership that shape our world.
What began as a platform to amplify voices has evolved into a space where I craft modern narratives with clarity, purpose, and power.
Meanwhile, over the last two years since my daughter was born, something unexpected happened.
Two former UN colleagues—man and woman—reached out and asked for support in shaping their post-UN identities, defining their next chapter by translating decades of multilateral experience into a personal brand, a distinct voice, and a direction true to their purpose.
Those exchanges inspired me, and reminded me of something essential:
Inclusive, creative storytelling is not only my medium, but my method.
Having fulfilled my goal of building a career in communications and media at the United Nations for more than a decade, I’m moving into a new calling — one that aligns with the work leaders and organizations have been asking me to help them create.
And so, by request (and with a gentle nudge from the universe), I’m levelling up toward my next dream:

Before I share more, a note on my name—because names carry stories too.
Some of you know me as Mengting Li (or in Chinese name order: Li Mengting).
But not everyone knows the meaning behind it.
First off, “Meng / 梦” isn’t pronounced “men” or “main.” Across Chinese-speaking regions, it’s romanized differently — in Taiwan, often Mong; in Cantonese-speaking regions, Mung or Moong; just as my family name Li is often written Lee outside mainland China.
But regardless of spelling, 梦 in all languages (Chinese, Japanese, Korean) always means: Dream.
As I began shaping the identity for my creative practice, I wanted a spelling that reflects both the sound and the spirit of the name I carry.
So I chose Moon.
Not only does it sit close phonetically, but it also holds the connotations that intrigue me the most: illumination and clarity, intuition and introspection, inspiration and imagination, serenity and femininity.
Now, under the same name written anew — MoonTing Li — I help founders, leaders, purpose-driven brands and organisations:
- Articulate Clarity: Define who they are and what they stand for.
- Translate Experience: Turn lived expertise into compelling, strategic narratives.
- Design Identity: Build credible, human-centred brand identities grounded in values.
- Build Influence: Develop high-impact communications across systems, sectors, and cultures.
The Studio
MoonTing Studio is a cultural intelligence studio operating at the intersection of strategy, narrative, and aesthetic design.
We are a boutique strategy house, allowing each project to be approached with intellectual rigor and creative precision.
Rather than scaling through volume, the studio works selectively with leaders and organizations seeking clarity of vision, cultural depth, and long-term influence.
We work with founders, organizations, and cultural leaders navigating an increasingly complex global landscape — where brands must move across languages, cultures, and digital environments while maintaining coherence and meaning.
In such a world, visibility alone is not influence.
Influence is built through the architecture of identity, narrative, and culture.
Our work focuses on designing these underlying structures.

Our work is particularly focused on the cultural dialogue between Europe and Asia.
These two worlds operate through profoundly different historical narratives, aesthetic traditions, and digital ecosystems.
Yet the future of global brands increasingly lies in the ability to move between them.
MoonTing Studio helps organizations translate identity across these cultural contexts — allowing brands to remain authentic while becoming globally resonant.
Our Philosophy

MoonTing Studio exists to design the structures through which that meaning can travel.
MoonTing Studio is an expansion of who I have always been—translating complexity into clarity, shaping narratives with purpose and power, and illuminating what is often overlooked.
This is the work I’ve spent my creative career preparing for—across the UN ecosystem, intersectional and inclusive journalism, innovation and sustainability, diversity work, and feminist thought leadership—continuing to communicate the vision and mission of purpose-driven founders, organisations, and conscious brands with intention and impact.
